The Importance Of Privacy – With many headed off to college or university and not having the usual privacies of home, masturbation can become an issue if you suddenly have roommates. Many of us, especially only children, take privacy for granted, and all of a sudden find shared living quarters and small spaces add up to you being horny and nowhere to relieve yourself. Many students in dorms have told me this is a major issue. If you have a car, worse comes to worse, you can always drive to a secluded spot and do it in the car, not the most ideal environment, but a possibility.
Set Up An Alone Time Schedule – You could tell your roommate you need time for phone calls, or any other number of excuses that are plausible to get alone time. Learn your roommate’s class schedule, so you know when you will have the room alone for that time period. If you’re very daring, just do it while they are asleep in the same room. Believe me, it happens. One guy I used to chat with would even have sex with another person while his roommate was in the room , he just didn’t care! I’d think that a bit of an extreme case, and most wouldn’t be comfortable with that much openness.
Just Be Open – Some are direct types, and honestly, most prefer that. If you are comfortable enough to have a conversation with your roommate and can discuss this, most will be glad, since they are worried about it too, not many though will feel confidant enough to bring up a “masturbation schedule” though. One man I talked to said he couldn’t do that, his roommate was a religious freak and would not approve of anyone masturbating, let alone a time schedule for it! Shower time could be used for quickies, but a 5 minute quickie isn’t always enough to satisfy us, but may be all we can squeeze in. Masturbation is beneficial for health and mental relaxation. Being pent up and horny all the time isn’t doing anyone any favors. Don’t neglect your pleasure, find a way to fit it in.
Knock Knock – Lack of privacy for masturbation in a shared environment is something many people have to deal with on a regular basis. Often when one goes away to college and has a roommate for the first time this can prove troublesome. I used to mercilessly tease someone I chatted with that was going away to college as this was a real concern of his. I told him he’d be out walking looking for back alleys to jerk off behind dumpsters to get some privacy. He freaked out when I said his roommate was doing it as he slept in the bed next to him. It was so fun to tease and play on his worries!
Are You Alone – One I phoned with used to go out in his car, another went into a closet that still lived at home. I used to tell the one in the car, he’d drive out to the woods, I told him one night he was going to get his car stuck out there and was going to have to call a tow truck and how embarrassing it would be to explain what he’d been doing out there at 3 AM! I told him shortly after meeting his new roommate, they just be matter of fact about the matter and sit down calmly and create an “alone time” masturbation schedule. He was mortified, and I was laughing at his discomfort. Luckily I have never had a roommate to contend with, but joking aside, it is a problem. Many I have wanted to phone with were paranoid roommates might hear them talking, or they would only do it when the roommate were out of the shared quarters entirely.
Is Someone Watching – This is a real concern to many going away to college for the first time. The thought of being caught if someone walks in on them, there are some very funny real life tales online of experiences like this, getting caught masturbating, funny now but not at the time.
