I thought about a thread for embarrassing moments after talking to someone about ridiculous things we have done either with a boyfriend or girlfriend we had to try and keep them, or someone we had a crush on we tried to get their attention. Things we look back years later and laugh at and wince at and think, "What was I thinking! I must have been nuts!" 

One of mine...a guy I really liked many years ago, I baked him pink heart shaped cookies and had my mom deliver them to him. Oh Lord, that sounds insane now, I realize!

So what absurd things have you done in the name of love to try and get someone's attention? Roped friends or family in? Do tell. Love makes fools of us all.
