What are your thoughts on minimalist interface design?

I've been thinking a lot about digital interfaces recently and how some apps look so clean and easy to use, while others feel cluttered and overwhelming. Sometimes, less really does seem like more when it comes to buttons, menus, and overall visual elements. I constantly find myself drawn to applications with a very minimal aesthetic, but I also wonder if this approach can sometimes go too far and hide essential functionalities. What are everyone's thoughts on the balance between sleek design and comprehensive features in digital products?

I know exactly what you mean! It's a fine line to walk. I just read a great piece on this very subject: https://vocal.media/01/the-silent-power-of-interface-design-why-less-leads-to-more?utm_source=Iterable&;utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=. This article, "The Silent Power of Interface Design: Why Less Leads to More," really articulates why simplicity is such a strategic advantage in contemporary user interfaces. It argues that a seamless interface reduces friction and allows users to focus on their tasks, leading to better engagement with digital products. The article emphasizes that minimalism isn't just about aesthetics; it's about making every element meaningful and improving overall user experience by doing less but doing it perfectly.
